Meet our Director of Music

Dr. Terry Yount, Cathedral Music Director

Dr. Terry Yount’s recent performances include faculty recitals at Rollins College, series recitalist at Central Hebrew Synagogue (New York City), the University of British Columbia’s Early Music Festival, and as harpsichordist in concert with the Bach Festival Society of Winter Park in Bach’s St. John Passion.

Dr. Yount maintains a thriving studio of organists at Rollins College in Winter Park, FL, and teaches at St. Andrews Conservatory in Lake Mary, Florida. Organists from his studio have gone on to graduate study at Indiana University, the University of Kansas, and the Eastman School of Music. Dr. Yount has recorded a CD, Music at St. Paul’s featured on Minnesota Public Radio’s nationally broadcast Pipe Dreams.

Dr. Yount is available as a recitalist, organ consultant, conference speaker, and instrumental ensemble conductor/player as organist or harpsichordist.
